My Reiki Journey: The Truths My Master Never Taught Me

In India, the word "Reiki" sounds a lot like "rekee," which means to scout a place for a robbery. In a way, my experience with Reiki felt a little like that—a hidden truth about the energy world that was waiting to be uncovered.

For four years, I immersed myself in Reiki, and my progress was impressive. I quickly began to master distant healing and saw remarkable results. I created a Facebook group, sent daily healings, and helped people on other pages. But something was missing. I felt a deep need to understand if I was truly helping people or if it was just my imagination. The feedback I received from group members was overwhelmingly positive, but my last Reiki master wasn't happy about it.

The Conflict That Changed Everything

My last master had promised to teach me the grandmaster level but kept avoiding the final attunements. I later learned he wasn't a grandmaster himself. He added me to his groups and instructed me to send energy healing to the members, but when I began to ask for feedback, he got angry. People weren't just giving me good feedback; they were waiting for healing from me. My master, who was an excellent energy worker, was afraid of being forgotten. He had a deep-seated fear that he might lose his followers.

Soon, he banned me from sending any more energy and accused me of practicing "black energy" and "stealing his followers." It was devastating.

But it was during this time that I discovered a deeper truth. Through a foreign master, I received attunements from Archangels and began to learn directly from them, especially my favorite, Archangel Raphael. It was from them that I truly learned the hidden side of Reiki and energy work.

Five Truths About Reiki and Energy Healing

Here are the most important lessons I learned on my journey, the ones my master never taught me:

1. Reiki is Self-Intelligent

Reiki is an intelligent energy. It doesn't just flow where you intend it to; it flows where it's needed most. You may direct it to a specific pain point, but the energy will go to the root cause, which may be somewhere else in your body or mind. It's a truly miraculous and intuitive force.

2. Healing Isn't Always a Permanent Fix

Reiki does not provide a permanent solution on its own. It's a powerful tool to clear blockages, but the individual must be ready at a subtle level to release the emotional or mental cord that caused the problem in the first place. This is why many Reiki sessions are often necessary for a single issue.

3. Your Problem May Be Karma

Sometimes, a problem exists to help you clear some karma. In these cases, you may find that Reiki is less effective. The universe is telling you that this is a lesson you need to go through on your own to achieve spiritual growth.

4. The Dangers of Forgetting to Cut Cords

This was my biggest struggle. I often forgot to cut the energetic cords after finishing a Reiki session. As a healer, you are just an instrument, but if you don't detach, you bind yourself to the receiver's karma. The result for me was a massive spiritual detox that often made me physically ill, even though medical reports showed I was perfectly healthy. I now understand why my first master warned me not to send healing to the masses.

5. Spiritual Protection is Non-Negotiable

I also learned the crucial importance of protection. It is essential to create a white light shield around you before and after every healing session. This protective ball prevents you from absorbing the negative energies you are helping to clear from others.

Ultimately, my journey led me to a new perspective. Reiki is a sacred tool, but it's not a business commodity. It’s a profound path that requires a deep understanding of energy, karma, and, most importantly, the discipline of self-protection.
